Technical Assistance for Product Safety in E-Commerce

We attended the opening conference of the “Technical Assistance for Product Safety in E-Commerce” Project where our Director Barbaros Murat Köse took part as a speaker. The project, of which our Unit is the Contracting Authority and the Ministry of Trade is the Beneficiary, is supported under the European Union's Pre-Accession Financial Assistance (IPA-III) programme and includes important steps to enhance product safety in e-commerce.

CFCU Project Management Experience Sharing Meeting

Under the presidency of our Deputy Ministers Mr. Osman Çelik and Mr. Abdullah Erdem Cantimur, we held a productive meeting where our Director Barbaros Murat Köse made a presentation sharing the EU Financial Cooperation process and our Unit's experiences in project management, and where possible cooperation opportunities with the Departments of our Ministry were evaluated. Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme (2025-2026) Ankara Info Day Event

Ankara Info Day Event about the 2025-2026 Academic Year of Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme was held on 24.09.2024. During the event, participants were informed about the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme and questions were answered. Our Senior Contract Manager Sevda Algün also made a speech in the event. We wish success to the candidates in advance.

Application to 2025-2026 Academic Year Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme is now open. The deadline for application to the programme is 5^th November 2024!

“Effective Use of the EU Solidarity Fund Mechanism in Türkiye" Workshop

Our Unit participated in a workshop on ‘Effective Use of the EU Solidarity Fund Mechanism in Turkey’ hosted by the Directorate for EU Affairs and organized under the TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) Mechanism.

Following the Kahramanmaraş-based earthquake disaster that occurred in our country on 6 February 2023, the EU provided a fund of EUR 400 million under the EU Solidarity Fund to support reconstruction efforts in the earthquake zone. Within the scope of this fund, our Unit has been assigned duties and responsibilities regarding the use of the funds to be provided to our country by the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF) by the Presidential Circular issued on 01 March 2024.

Hungary Took Over the Presidency of the Council of the EU

As of July 2024, Hungary took over the 6-month Presidency of the Council of the EU from Belgium. Hungary will assume the Presidency of the Council of the EU for the second time under the motto ‘Make Europe Great Again’. (https://hungarian-presidency.consilium.europa.eu/ )
